Chalkboard's CLASS Project was featured at the City Club of Portland's Friday Forum on June 5th. Chalkboard President Sue Hildick, Sherwood School District Superintendent Dan Jamison and Sherwood teacher and union leader Terrel Smith all reported on the transformational success of CLASS.

Chalkboard has teamed up with ECONorthwest to author a guide for Oregon to capitalize on funds available in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Learn more by reading the stimulus issue paper now.
On April 27th, Chalkboard's parent organization, Foundations for a Better Oregon (FBO), hosted a Webinar for Oregon Foundations on leveraging federal stimulus money for education. View the FBO home page for more information.
Nearly 1,000 beginning Oregon educators are being mentored by experienced teachers and administrators who participate in the Beginning Teacher and Administrator Mentor Program. Now these educators, along with all Oregonians, have a web site that provides information about the Program and keeps them updated on monthly events.

In 2008, the Black Parent Initiative (BPI) approached the Chalkboard Project to develop a data-driven "A Deeper Look at the Black-White Achievement Gap in Multnomah County: A Report to the Black Parent Initiative."
